About Earthkeepers for Miles

Miles Jon Jenness was a kind and goofy kid who loved to dance and play legos, had a big appetite and a big heart, and was his Mama’s number-one helper. His kindergarten teacher said he added a lot of sparkle to the everyday.

In June 2018, five-year-old Miles sat at the breakfast table and pretended to write a letter. In it, he talked about cleaning up Earth and taking care of our animals, and if you do, then you’ll be an Earthkeeper. Three months later, Miles was killed on his way home from an afterschool program after kindergarten.

Earthkeepers for Miles is an organization started in his memory, by his family, friends, and community, who miss him every day. Together, we’re working to put some good out into the world by caring for each other, our planet, and the creatures we share it with.
