For Adults

How does it work?

Learn. Each March, during our Smiles for Miles annual event, Earthkeepers gather together to vote on what animal they’ll focus on for the upcoming year. Throughout the year, at quarterly intervals (June, September, December, March), Earthkeepers will receive kid-focused newsletters packed with information about their focus animal: animal facts, conservation efforts, interviews with experts in the field, conversation cards, habitat help, and more. We’ll also include information for grown-ups and something fun with every packet.

Do. Earthkeepers are empowered to take action. Once Earthkeepers decide on a focus animal, their June packet will include expert-approved actions that Earthkeepers can do every day, wherever they are, to help that animal—and help our planet in the process. Quarterly packets will also include Earthkeeper Challenges. Challenges might include: reducing single-use plastics, Earthkeeper-related summer reading, committing to Meatless Mondays for a month (with recipe ideas!), completing pre-made postcards to send to legislators, and sticker cards to mark off successful challenge days.

Share. We want to hear from you! Earthkeepers are encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences with each other, and with their friends and families. We’ll provide regular opt-in opportunities to connect with Earthkeepers HQ and other Earthkeepers worldwide through newsletter sections, social media, and our website.

We’re just getting started.

Stay tuned here for more information for grown-ups as Earthkeepers for Miles grows.
